Biography
Dr. Vela graduated with his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed residency training in family practice at the University of Texas San Antonio Family Medicine Center in McAllen, Texas and completed his second residency program in Obstetrics/Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Vela is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
