Biography
DHR Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Delisa Guadarrama to the DHR Health Counseling and Psychiatry Center in Edinburg. Dr. Guadarrama is fellowship trained and board certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She specializes in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders for children, adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Guadarrama graduated from medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed three years of General Psychiatry Residency at UTHSCSA, and then continued training for an additional two years of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UTHSCSA. She is also a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Guadarrama has been treating children & adolescents in outpatient community-based practice throughout Hidalgo & Cameron Counties since 2016. Just prior to joining DHR she also worked in academic medicine at UTRGV School of Medicine as an assistant professor.
Dr. Guadarrama is a proud native of the Rio Grande Valley. She joins DHR Health in an effort to maintain and increase access to care with in-depth knowledge of psychiatric treatment of child, adolescent and young adult populations. She will provide outpatient care in the clinic with specific focus and specialization in ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders.
