Daniel Martinez, MD is a board certified, thoracic surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of medical conditions of the organs of the chest. His interests include complex heart valve and minimally invasive surgeries.
Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Martinez will provide treatment of the heart, lungs, esophagus, diaphragm, and major blood vessels. He will offer surgical coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), repair and replacement of heart valve diseases, and robotic assisted lung surgery for lung cancer and other lung pathologies.
Dr. Martinez earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa. After completing a residency in general surgery at Louisiana State University Health Science Center, he completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC and also completed a fellowship in pediatric congenital heart surgery at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center.
