Allergic Reactions

Unexpected allergic reactions can be caused by a wide variety of things, such as bug bites and stings, food, pet dander, medication, or chemical agents. Exposure to these allergens can cause the immune system to react, resulting in red, itchy skin, coughing, watery eyes, nasal congestion, stomach pain, or nausea. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, we can help identify the cause and treat your symptoms. If you experience the sudden onset of difficulty breathing, low blood pressure, vomiting, or fainting, seek emergency care immediately. These could be signs of anaphylaxis, which is life-threatening.

Cuts and Lacerations

If you have a cut, scrape, or laceration, it may be difficult for you to decide if you need stitches or bandaging. In general, if you have a cut that will not stop bleeding, is too large to press the edges together, is deep enough to expose the next layer of skin, is from an animal or human bite, or was caused by a rusty object stop by DHR Health Urgent Care for treatment. We will examine the cut and provide the best course of treatment.

Diagnostic Testing and X-Ray Imaging

We have a wide range of testing capabilities at DHR Health Urgent Care to ensure we are able to diagnose and treat you as quickly as possible. We offer laboratory testing, electrocardiograms (EKG), x-ray imaging, and more all on site.

Ear Infections

An ear infection occurs when the middle ear becomes inflamed due to fluid behind the ear drum, which is usually caused by a viral infection or allergies. If your child has ear pain, is pulling or tugging at the ear, has a fever, or fails to respond to sounds, he may have an ear infection. Our family-friendly and welcoming medical team will quickly evaluate your child so you can start treatment and get your little one feeling better fast.

Minor Burns

If a minor burn is caused by exposure to the sun or heat, you might experience redness, swelling, and pain. Severe burns require immediate attention and treatment at the emergency room. If you have a minor burn, we can evaluate the burn and provide treatment options.

Physical Exams

Regular physical exams are an important part of maintaining optimal health and wellness. Our highly-trained medical staff offers general, pre-employment, return-to-work, and DOT physical exams. For DOT physical exams, an advance appointment is requested.

Rash and Skin Irritations

There are many skin conditions that can cause dry, itchy skin, rashes or sores. These include eczema, impetigo, and shingles, as well as allergic reactions or bug bites. If you have an itch that can't wait, come see us and we'll get your skin healing quickly.

Respiratory Illness

If you have a cough that won't stop, or a cold that won't get better, an upper respiratory illness may be to blame. Upper respiratory illnesses affect the lungs and upper airways, causing problems such as bronchitis, pneumonia, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Our team can help diagnose your illness and provide a treatment plan to get you on the path to feeling better. We can also refer you to specialized care if needed.

Sprains, Strains and Broken Bones

If you have a sprain, strain, or broken bone, we are the team to get you on the road to recovery. A medical exam and x-ray will determine the location, extent and type of injury you may have. We will treat the injury and provide options for follow-up care to ensure proper healing.

Vaccinations

DHR Health Urgent Care administers vaccines including TDAP and Flu. Vaccines are crucial in producing immunity against disease.
