Biography
Dr. Miguel Gutierrez is an experienced neurologist whose focus of care includes the diagnosis and treatment of the most complex neurologic disorders. He provides a disease-specific and patient-focused approach to care across the spectrum of neurological disorders, including epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, and stroke.
Dr. Gutierrez received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He conducted general medicine residency training at the ISSSTE Clinic-Hospital in Mexico City, Mexico. There, he also received an advanced degree in neurology. He completed residency training in neurology at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Gutierrez is an active member of the Stroke and Special Care Committee at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. Through the Neurology Institute at Renaissance, he is working to create new and advanced neurology programs for South Texas.
