Biography
DHR Health is proud to have Dr. Melecio Jesus Medina at the DHR Health Ear, Nose and Throat Institute. Dr. Medina, born and raised in the Rio Grande valley, wanted to come back to his home to help his community. Dr. Medina specializes in ENT, providing patients with the optimum and latest treatments available including: sinus surgery, pediatrics, head & neck cancer, voice and swallow therapy, obstructive sleep apnea surgery, and innovative techniques in ear surgery.
Dr. Medina received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas - RGV in Edinburg, TX. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, graduating as valedictorian in his class. He went on to complete his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, at the premier University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Medina speaks Spanish and English fluently.
