Cera Kroenke, DO

Biography

Dr. Cera Kroenke will be providing surgical care for a broad range of diseases and disorders. She specializes in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery.

Dr. Kroenke has joined DHR Health Surgery Institute to provide enhanced surgical care for a wide spectrum of conditions, including hernia repair, gallbladder and biliary disease, abdominal surgery, colorectal disorders, benign and malignant breast disease, vascular surgery and acute care surgery.

Dr. Kroenke earned her Masters of Science and Medical Degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at DHR Health. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Association of Women Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Pan American Trauma Society. During her residency, Dr. Kroenke served as the chief administrative resident. She was named the Texas Surgical Society Raleigh Ross Scholar and was voted Resident of the Year her chief year.

As one of the few female general surgeons in the Valley, she looks forward to increasing awareness for women’s health and being a mentor to young females entering the medical field.
