Biography
Dr. Carlos Mego is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiology, and Vascular Medicine, and is certified in ICD Implantation and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, and provides advanced heart care for all conditions – from common to complex.
Dr. Mego received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos School of Medicine in Peru. He completed residency training in general surgery at Silvestre Adventist Hospital Rio de Janeiro in Brazil followed by internal medicine residency training at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Mego continued his education with a cardiology fellowship at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center and Saint Vincent’s Hospital and an interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
