Jorge Antonio Montes, MD, FACS

Biography

Dr. Jorge A. Montes is board certified in ophthalmology. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, such as diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and vision correction.

Dr. Montes received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He also completed an internship in internal medicine and residency training in ophthalmology at UTHSCSA. Dr. Montes joins DHR from the department of ophthalmology at UTHSCSA, where he worked for four years in the residency program as a clinical assistant professor and as an associate program director. He also served as the medical director of the Texas Diabetes Institute.
