Biography

Dr. Mañon is fellowship trained in complex and reconstructive spine surgery and board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons in neurosurgery. He will be treating patients for brain, spinal, and peripheral nerve problems. 

Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, he will provide surgical treatments for a wide spectrum of conditions affecting the nervous system, including, spinal stenosis, spine fractures, adult scoliosis, brain hemorrhage, stroke, herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, traumatic brain injury, chiari malformations, pituitary tumors, neck and back pain, arm and leg pain, brain tumors, cranial and spinal trauma, spinal cord injuries, carpal tunnel, peripheral nerve, and deep stimulation for Parkinson’s and other movement disorders.

Dr. Mañon earned his medical degree from the Ibero-American University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, before entering his internship in general surgery at the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After finding his passion in the field, Dr. Mañon pursued neurosurgery training at the University of Colorado and West Virginia University to culminate his neurological surgery residency. Subsequently, he completed a complex/reconstructive spine fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor.

He is the author of various publications, book chapters, abstracts and presentations and a member of several professional societies, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
